HP Instant Support Enterprise Edition (ISEE) can help. Thanks to this powerful support solution, many issues that used to require onsite support can now be resolved remotely.

Continuous multi-platform, multi-technology coverage

ISEE gives you a simple, unified approach to monitoring your entire data center. Instead of using separate technologies for each of your platforms, you can monitor and manage a diverse IT environment with a single solution.

ISEE provides proactive remote monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to enhance the availability of your HP-UX, Microsoft Windows, Linux, OpenVMS, Tru64 UNIX, and NonStop servers; connected peripherals; and storage and network devices — as well as selected Sun Solaris and IBM iSeries and pSeries servers with the appropriate HP contract*. It reduces cost and complexity by supporting both mission critical and non-mission critical systems and devices.   

Proactively reduce downtime and streamline problem resolution

HP Instant Support Enterprise Edition gives you:

  • Proactive monitoring to reduce system downtime - minimizing disruptions to your business processes and revenue-generating activities
  • Accelerated problem resolution by 20 percent (average) - improving system uptime and business productivity
  • Improved efficiency of IT operations - eliminating manual intervention by your IT staff through automated data collection, analysis, and call logging processes 
  • Robust remote support security - helping ensure data integrity and transaction security through industry-standard encryption and authentication technology
  • Reduced IT complexity and costs - eliminating the need to manage multiple remote support tools

Remote monitoring using ISEE requires installation of Analysis Service Tools for your specific operating system and hardware platform. WEBES (WEB-based Enterprise Services) and OSEM (Open Service Event Manager) analysis tools are required to provide automated service information to ISEE and HP SIM for many types of HP servers and storage devices. ISEE also enables proactive assessment services to help evaluate and improve your IT environment and availability. Proactive assessments provide earlier detection of potential problems to help prevent unplanned downtime.  In addition, proactive assessments include System Healthcheck and System Compare, a feature of select HP services. System Healthcheck uses server assessment tools to analyze system management, availability, security, and performance. A System Healthcheck Lite Report is available at no additional charge. System Compare checks for differences between systems in your enterprise, eliminating the need for manual comparisons. ISEE offers several solutions to establish a secure connection between HP and your network, allowing an HP support engineer to remotely access your monitored systems and devices with your authorization. The HP support engineer can log in to your system, observing normal customer security procedures and permissions, to provide remote hardware or software support for quicker resolution of problems. These options may vary by level of contract and region. Please contact your local account support team for more information.

ISEE security safeguards

The ISEE architecture incorporates a number of security technologies to protect your network and support data. Strong encryption, authentication, and industry-standard security protocols and best practices are integrated at the physical, operational, network, and application levels of the ISEE architecture, providing a multi-level, layered security structure.
