Here are a few ideas to help you plan your time capsule party.
Ticket to the future—Create fun party invitations that evoke time travel—include the year you intend to open your time capsule.
Historical markers—Print out headlines of current events, movie posters, and pictures of newsworthy individuals or “hot” celebrities to remember what was going on in world.
Note to self—Encourage each person to record a video message to themselves to be watched in the future.
Sounds of the times—Have each guest create a mix of their favorite tunes today to compare with their favorite tunes of tomorrow.
Back in the days
Think of all that’s happening in your life right now and how it will relate to your life in 10 or 15 years. Will your kids have the same haircuts? Listen to the same music? Hold the same exact views on prom dates and pop culture? Not a chance. So use your cool HP gear to capture the looks and sounds and fun of your life right now. Invite friends to join in. Then decide on a date in the future when you can get together, open your time capsule and come face-to-face with your past.
Party time
Sample music from everyone’s mixes as you make contributions to your time capsule.
