Overview
The HP SVSP Plug-In for Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control provides Database Administrators (DBAs) a host of powerful capabilities designed to increase their productivity and simplify their jobs.
The Plug-In is designed to monitor HP SVSP virtualized storage used in conjunction with Oracle databases, allowing DBAs to track and improve the functioning of the virtual storage they employ—with the ultimate goal of ensuring the availability of the databases they are managing.
With this Plug-In, DBAs can track allocated and used database storage capacities in order to forecast capacity needs and ensure the database continues to have sufficient free space.
The Plug-In also allows to DBAs to react to storage-related issues, such as capacity planning and availability. The Plug-In’s graphical interfaces allow for expedient comprehension—and therefore resolution—of storage issues affecting the database.
