Techwise Research, Inc.: Quantifying the Total Cost of Upgrade (TCU) for HP-UX Environments to HP-UX 11i v3

A total of 130 customers were surveyed to collect optional data for HP Integrity and HP 9000 servers running the HP-UX 11i operating environment. Two key finding from the customer survey are that HP Integrity servers are more reliable than HP 9000 servers and that upgrading to HP-UX 11i v3 on Integrity has many benefits. Two key benefits include a 29% performance increase (on average) and a 56% reduction in unplanned downtime.
