Serviceguard A.11.19 introduces a completely new Cluster Manager (CM2), a core component of Serviceguard. The Cluster Manager is used to initialise a cluster, to monitor the health of the cluster, to recognise node failure if it should occur, and to regulate the re-formation of the cluster when a node joins or leaves the cluster.

The main benefits you will see are:

Serviceguard A.11.19 now includes the ability to assign weights to packages and capacities to nodes, thereby controlling where packages go after a failure in fixed resource environments.
