Spend less time managing clustered SAP
  • SGeSAP supports easier deployment of SAP applications with increased availability
    • Keep SAP up and running by guarding against failure and downtime of SAP using the Web Dispatcher application
    • Deploy SAP Web Dispatcher consistently within Serviceguard, eliminating the need for custom scripting
    • Cluster verification keeps track of SAP-specific requirements on failover nodes. It makes clustering more reliable and less vulnerable to change management activities
  • Simplify deployment with SAP recovery options and when using workload containers (with SGeSAP)
    • Easy deployment simplifies and speeds up cluster creation and makes sure that the configuration is according to HP and SAP recommendations
Graphical monitoring of HP Serviceguard Extension for SAP (SGeSAP) is available in HP Serviceguard Manager which automatically discovers SAP applications and auto-fills parameters.
Expanded support for more flexibility. The SGeSAP support matrix has been expanded to support single, dual and split-stack installations for MDM 7.10 as well as new support for IBM DB2 9.5 and 9.7.

How it works

HP Serviceguard Extension for SAP (SGeSAP) continuously monitors the health of each SAP node and automatically responds to failures or threshold violations. SGeSAP protects the SAP central instance and database—business-critical pieces in an SAP environment—within a Serviceguard cluster. As an added bonus, it can decrease planned downtime when performing SAP upgrades.
Building on the capabilities of HP Serviceguard, HP Serviceguard Extension for SAP allows a group of HP Integrity servers to be configured as a highly available cluster that supports SAP environments on Intel® Itanium® Processor Family platforms. These two products are tightly integrated to utilise the best features of HP enterprise clusters and SAP applications: high availability, data integrity, flexibility, scalability, and reduced database administration costs.
