HP Serviceguard Manager is a graphical user interface (GUI) that provides configuration, administration, and monitoring capabilities for
Serviceguard,
Serviceguard Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit,
Serviceguard Extension for RAC,
Metrocluster, and
Continentalclusters.
Using Serviceguard Manager, operators see colour-coded icons that provide a big-picture view of multiple clusters. From this big-picture view, operators can drill down and proactively manage clusters, systems (nodes), and packages that run applications.
As you can see below, Serviceguard Manager uses colour-coded icons to visually display real-time status and configuration information for multiple clusters, member nodes, and packages. Serviceguard Manager can run stand-alone or integrated with HP OpenView software and/or HP Systems Insight Manager.
Serviceguard Manager greatly reduces operator training, optimises efficiency, and improves productivity. By automating many manual processes, cluster configuration, monitoring, administration, and trouble-shooting are all simplified. The potential for human error is also reduced since Serviceguard Manager maintains consistency of configuration files on all cluster nodes and provides helpful tooltips and wizards to automate and guide even a novice user through everything they need to do to set up and maintain even the most complex environment.
