Performance and architecture

STAR-CCM+ and STAR-CD performance depends on many factors in computer and cluster architecture. Memory bandwidth per core in the server or workstation is one of the most critical performance factors. Many HPC applications can compute faster than the memory can supply the needed data, resulting in less than perfect productivity.
