Shorty’s self-cooling. How cool is that?

A high-power infrastructure used to mean high temperatures. Not anymore. HP Thermal Logic Technology is at work here too. Hundreds of embedded sensors constantly monitor system temperature. And then the system goes to work to cool itself.

HP Active Cool Fans (inspired by jet aircraft technology) are guided to focus air wherever it’s needed to keep things cool. So cooling costs go down. How far? Well, you won’t need any special cooling equipment, because these intelligent fans change their speed to cool whatever configuration you put inside the enclosure.* Bringing down the electric bill, which is always nice to tell the boss.

And because there’s less heat to damage sensitive equipment, Shorty has a longer lifecycle.

The result? Shorty doesn't need special cooling equipment. It just doesn't get much cooler than that.

*Compared to previous generation standard 1U rack servers.
