Data center cooling just got better
Be energy efficient with virtualization
The Real Story about HP and Enviromental Responsability
Content starts here

A long time ago, a seed was planted at HP. It grew into an unwavering 25-year commitment to a sustainable future.

HP Environmental Facts:

Fact #1: Our Energy efficiency success
Last year, we reduced carbon dioxide emissions from HP operations by 18,000 tons. That’s like saving 2,160 soccer fields’ worth of Amazon rainforest.

Fact #2: Our recycling efforts to date
In the last 9 years, we have recycled 1 billion pounds of IT products and materials globally.  In sheer tonnage, that’s equivalent to 71,428 full grown, male African elephants.

Fact #3: Fortune magazine names HP a Corporate Green Giant
In 2007, we were one of only 10 companies worldwide to be named on Fortune Magazine’s “10 Green Giants” list. No other IT company made the list, making HP as unique, as one of a kind, as the planet we live on.

Fact #4: Real Virtual Savings
Like uncovering buried treasure, one company saves $1 million dollars annually by putting virtualization and consolidation to work.

Fact #5: Data Center Cost savings up to 60%
With our help, you can enjoy energy cost savings of upwards of 60% in the data center thanks to HP energy efficient solutions. By doing so, we’ll both be doing our part to contribute to a sustainable future for our planet, and a better future for our children.

Fact #6: Dynamic Smart Cooling
Our Dynamic Smart Cooling technology lets you cut cooling costs in the data center by 15% to 40%, and cut down on carbon dioxide emissions. Here’s a very environmentally responsible example: Thanks to Dynamic Smart Cooling, a large data center customer in Asia saves 2.5 million dollars per year in energy costs, and avoids 5,300 tons of CO2 emissions. That’s equivalent to saving 600,000 gallons of gasoline, or taking 1100 cars off the road each year.

Fact #7: We’re helping companies reduce their carbon footprint
We are committed to helping other companies reduce the carbon footprint of their data centers. By reducing your carbon footprint, you are helping to combat climate change and ensure the survival of ecosystems and species around the world.

Being “green” means operating with the environment in mind

Being “green” is part of our DNA; environmental responsibility has deep roots at HP. We welcome other IT companies who’ve recently joined us in embracing environmental responsibility. This commitment to the planet continues to be a deeply ingrained, guiding principle at the very heart of our company’s philosophy.
