J42 for Application Access (J42) is a tool that provides a secure GUI for mainframe applications running on HP NonStop Himalaya servers. J42 is 100 percent Java certified and runs as a front end on top of existing legacy software. It can be run as a Java Window, Java panel object, Java applet, or as a standalone Java application. In addition, J42 supports Secure Socket Layer Protocol (SSL) encryption and digitally signed transactions to make applications available over the Internet while guaranteeing the authenticity and integrity of each transaction.
