Overview

HP Serviceguard Manager is a graphical user interface (GUI) that provides configuration, administration, and monitoring capabilities for Serviceguard, Serviceguard Extension for RAC, Metrocluster, and Continentalclusters.  Using Serviceguard Manager, operators see color-coded icons that provide a big-picture view of multiple clusters.  From this big-picture view, operators can drill down and proactively manage clusters, systems (nodes), and packages that run applications.

Key Features

  • Color-coded icons that visually display real-time status and configuration information for multiple clusters, member nodes, and packages
  • Cluster and package configuration
  • Administration functions to start, halt, or move a cluster, node, or package
  • Provides command-line preview
  • Supports HP-UX and Linux clusters remotely from management stations running HP-UX, Windows, or Linux
  • Can run standalone or integrated with HP OpenView software and/or HP Systems Insight Manager

Benefits

  • Simplifies cluster configuration, monitoring, administration, and troubleshooting
  • Automates many manual processes
  • Maintains consistency of configuration files on cluster member nodes
  • Reduces operator training
