HP continued its momentum by formally announcing its Business Continuity and Availability Solutions (BC&A) strategy, portfolio, and value to customers. HP also released the results of a field poll conducted worldwide to better understand customer preparedness around disasters and unplanned downtime.
The field poll indicated that companies are still not as prepared as they should be to maintain continuity of critical business processes. In fact, 26% of customers polled, or roughly one-third , are not regularly testing their business continuity plans.
With this in mind, HP is announcing the availability of a free web-based, Rapid Risk Assessment Tool that enable CIOs and IT managers to easily conduct baseline risk assessments of their business processes, and help them with corrective actions. This new tool is part of HP's portfolio of assessment services to define risk areas, ranging from full scale disasters to day-to-day operational risks. HP routinely delivers Business Continuity and Availability solutions to help customers reduce operational risk, reduce unplanned downtime, and ensure continuous, secure operation of critical business processes.
