Overview

The HPC/SCI Oil and Gas Resource Room is a service offered to HP partners and end user customers who need to benchmark, experiment, and design solutions on ProLiant servers in a clustered environment based on industry standard Linux and Windows HPCS offerings from Red Hat, Novell, and Microsoft. The Resource Room is open to all HP software partners interested in working with HP on a range of Linux and Microsoft reference solution stacks to benchmark, perform proof-of-concepts, migrate, and insure compatibility from the hardware platform to the end user application operating in an industry standard Linux or Microsoft software environment.

The latest ProLiant X86 Xeon and Opteron based servers are provided in the lab for Oil & Gas evaluations, with VPN access. Note that the operating system for the Oil & Gas servers can be specified by the user, with both Linux and Windows HPCS accommodated.

The lab is periodically refreshed with the latest models
