Tier 1 mobile network operator.

Business need

The customer wanted to open up their network to 3rd party service developers in order to increase the number of services they were able to offer their subscribers.  In particular, the customer needed a Parlay X gateway to deploy in conjunction with their existing Parlay gateway infrastructure.

Solution overview

HP provided the customer with a fully integrated Parlay X solution.  HP deployed the Incomit Application Hub, integrating and validating the solution.  In addition, HP developed custom policies for the customer, to further enhance the customer's policy management capabilities.

  • Combines world-class HP OpenCall technology with best-in-class partner applications from Appium, Aepona and Infitel
  • Provides an open application development environment for seamless application deployment regardless of the underlying network architectures
  • Allows outside application service providers to develop and deliver services over a carrier's network without having to tailor the service to a particular network

Results

HP quickly integrated the Parlay X gateway with the customers existing Parlay infrastructure, and also custom developed policies to meet customer requirements for Parlay policy management.
