Different operators face different kinds of challenges in delivering services to their subscribers which could relate to billing capabilities, infrastructure requirements, or simply the resources for the innovation that makes market leaders.  HP has developed a business-consulting practice that analyzes current end-user service offerings and provides a complete gap analysis for service providers.  The objective of the program is to provide complete qualifications and business analysis with a range of strategy steps and tools to position end-user services and solutions into a strategic roadmap.

HP offers operators in-depth consultative workshops which are broken down into 3 areas: Analyze, Compare and Recommend:

Analyze
HP analyzes operator's current service offerings and how those services are segmented, presented and delivered to their subscribers.  This approach provides a complete view of the current strategy and environment the mobile operator has in place today.


Compare
From the information obtained from the analyze portion of the workshop HP compares the mobile operators current approach with the rest of the industry and comparable operators.   This is done by providing a complete gap analysis to the service provider that will allow them to see how their current service offerings, delivery methods and user interaction & presentation compare.  

Recommend
The third stage of the workshop is working as a trusted advisor to recommend a complete service strategy after understanding the current situation and environment of the mobile operator.  This is done by identifying innovative services that can fill the missing gaps, outlining critical success factors like project approaches and pricing schemes, and finally provide overall solution vision from delivery to management.
