Click to Connect (C2C) provides PC and mobile phone users with a variety of services for setting up, monitoring and managing conferences.
C2C conferencing facilities can be easily tailored to meet the expectations of many distinct types of users. In its richest form, it integrates with medium-sized and large-scale businesses with a frequent need for group communication across a number of sites or locations. However, with simplified user interface templates, the mass market will use C2C to keep in touch with friends. Although C2C can be used as a stand-alone service, it can also be used to complement other offering like network based virtual private networks (VPNs), Centrex, and community services.
With internet or mobile phone access, the system can be told to call up participants, send out conference details via short message service (SMS) or email, (with the number to call and a personal identification number (PIN)), and much more - defining groups for regular conferences, accessing company address books, selecting participants, directly inputing participant phone numbers, monitoring the current status of the conference as well as managing the actual meeting.
