Governmental pressure to regulate IT security continues to grow
CIOs are under incredible pressure to answer boardroom-level concerns, not just about budgets, but about how they are responding to regulatory and privacy demands.

It’s clear that Government interest in regulating security is driven by the increased growth in security incidents and a lack of confidence that industry is moving to protect itself.

Regulatory mandates such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, Basel II, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) require that due diligence is applied in the security decision and implementation process. These new regulations force security designers and architects to impose and maintain proper security controls throughout their enterprise. This is not a choice, but a requirement.

HP’s Governance solutions help your enterprise to understand the security risks and the potential for damage that you face as well as define your security vision and strategy. They help you to put in place the business and IT processes and organizational structure necessary to establish an effective and sustainable information security program.
