HP announces new features and capabilities with the latest release of HP NonStop ATM Transaction Analyzer and NonStop POS Transaction Analyzer software. These products—part of the HP Business Service Management (BSM) solutions portfolio—help IT promote better technology-to-business alignment and add even greater value to the enterprise by bringing powerful tools to line-of-business managers. Now you can assess the health and vibrancy of your ATM and POS networks—on your own, and in near real time.
With exceptional visual appeal and a secure architecture, NonStop ATM and POS Transaction Analyzers offer a powerful solution to keep self-service terminal (SST) networks healthy, growing, and profitable. More and more SSTs appear daily as customers meet their own needs—on their own schedules—at airports, hotels, shopping malls, and other central locations worldwide. Managers held accountable for key business indicators (KBIs) will find these Transaction Analyzers to be powerful tools for making critical decisions rapidly. Use them to easily identify problems with ATM or POS devices, determine where investment in more units might be justified, to identify underperforming devices, and to eliminate off-hour maintenance visits.
Visualize device management
NonStop ATM and POS Transaction Analyzers create enhanced visualizations of data related to trends in all aspects of device management, based on monitoring specific logical networks, financial industry IDs, retailers, bank ID numbers, response codes, transaction types, and other entities. All line-of-business managers seeking a near real-time, graphical view of a specific area of responsibility will find this software of immediate value.
Using familiar report generation tools that run in the Microsoft Windows environment, NonStop Transaction Analyzers extract data from the NonStop system database and display it in easy-to-read, live that can be customized to specific requirements. An Executive Dashboard view is available for a nontechnical, up-to-the-minute view of the business.
The web-based monitor gathers details about transactions recorded in ATM and POS Transaction Log Files and identifies traffic for all resource nodes defined in a targeted logical network. For example, a typical ATM live dashboard can display KBIs relevant to the number and percentages of transactions received, approved, denied, reversed, and timed-out; along with excessive denial rates, reversals, and stand-in transactions. The dashboard can also show response times for interchanges, switches and hosts, and cash withdrawals. These visualization capabilities enable you to manage ATM and POS transactions effectively and offer excellent visual design for customized management and reporting of transaction flow driven by all types of intelligent SSTs.
More control over captured data
NonStop ATM and POS Transaction Analyzers now offer more control for capturing data during hours of operation versus hours of nonoperation. For instance, you can now monitor only during normal device operating hours and thus eliminate unneeded alerts.
To help better monitor service level agreements (SLAs), both NonStop Transaction Analyzers now support new “super entities.” With these, you can combine an Issuer ID and a Transaction Response Code into a single super entity and your dashboard can display statistics such as, "Reversals where King’s Bank is the card issuer.” Other enhancements to data displays include reporting transactions using local time zones (Local Civil Time), for use by global entities that generate transactions from multiple switch nodes located in different time zones.
Many enhancements for statistical control and precision have also been added. For instance, device network managers can now group entities into relevant subsets for display. Thus, an organization serving multiple institutions can create a view of each institution’s specific ATM or POS devices and transactions. Entities can also be given friendlier names: for example, “ATM T12345” could be called “First and Main, Montclair N.H.”
Manage data from ACI Worldwide, Fidelity National Information Systems, and others
NonStop Transaction Analyzers manage continuous transactional data processed by applications from ACI Worldwide, Fidelity National Information Systems, and other solutions residing on HP Integrity NonStop BladeSystem servers and Integrity NonStop servers.
NonStop Transaction Analyzer solutions work with TLF/PTLF files created by ACI BASE24 and Fidelity CONNEX—out-of-box—and interoperation with other applications is also available. They offer a substantial improvement over current tools being used to manage ATM and POS networks. Managers now have better technology to meet and exceed SLA requirements—they can see how their KBI-based dashboards directly impact the bottom line, in near real time.
