Integrated Research has been digging deeply into the NonStop Advanced Architecture (NSAA) for HP Integrity NonStop servers to provide precise tools for monitoring and managing the performance and availability of the new systems. “Because Integrated Research is a systems management vendor, we get our hands into every aspect of the NonStop server and application infrastructure—including the operating system, database, caches, CPUs, disk drives…the works,” said Rick Hunter, Integrated Research’s vice president of strategic business development. “We’re still testing, but with several of our customers participating in the Integrity NonStop Early Adapter Program (EAP), we’re seeing that the system is very fast.”

Among others, the world’s largest independent software vendor (ISV), the largest travel reservations system, and the largest stock exchange use PROGNOSIS solutions to gain precise real-time NonStop system performance monitoring, data recording, and alerts. PROGNOSIS also runs natively in Microsoft® Windows®, Linux, UNIX®, and HP-UX operating environments, providing HP customers with an integrated, real-time cross-platform monitoring solution. PROGNOSIS also provides a fully certified HP OpenView SPI, as well as IBM Tivoli and other framework integration, to allow the maximum flexibility for Integrity NonStop servers.

Club NSAA benefits

By joining Club NSAA—a program for partners who want to validate and test solution software on the new Integrity NonStop platform—Integrated Research has gained advantages that give it an edge in the marketplace. “The HP Advanced Technology Center (ATC) has been extremely supportive, providing us with Integrity NonStop system time as well as development support and advice. HP has even made a few changes to the operating environment at our suggestion. As a result, the PROGNOSIS solution for Integrity NonStop servers will provide improved information-gathering capabilities and better real-time system and application monitoring, as well as depth and speed,” Hunter explained.

NonStop partners can still join Club NSAA and take advantage of joint marketing with HP and Intel, demand-generation programs, and participation in HP sales calls and webinars, as well as special perks at the upcoming NonStop Partner Summit in October 2005. Resources will be available until December 2005. To join, visit the ISV Evolution & Validation Program website.
